What a week! We had school on Monday and the rest of the week we were off- Snow Days. This past week we had a huge ice storm here in the MidWest. For a few days we had everything was covered in ice. Broken tree limbs and downed power lines are everywhere. We were without power for 2 days, it was kind of like camping in the house. Luckily we were prepared with our food storage. We had candles lit everywhere. The kids are only afraid of the dark when the power's out, so the candles helped. We also played board games by candle light and talked about how the pioneers did it. This was definitely a humbling experience and makes us thankful for all of our blessings (especially the modern conveniences).
