Yesterday we spent the boys spent the morning sleeping in, which meant a few minutes to myself. Jeremy spent the morning in his last class at the YDC- yeah! After the princes decided to get up and get ready for the day they decided to fool around the hotel. They spent some time in the arcade, and after spending $10 in quarters the only thing they came back to the room with was super bouncy balls. Of course the super bouncy balls had a purpose. Just try to visualize this one. In the middle of the hotel lobby is a huge glass pyramid that covers the escalators. This pyramid rises from the 2nd floor to the 5th floor. It was just too tempting for the boys so you know what happened next.... the bouncy balls were bouncing off the glass pyramid down to the 2nd floor (where our room was). Not one ball, not two balls, but TEN BALLS were bouncing on this pyramid. So the poor bellhop is trying to figure out where the thumping is coming from, and trying to find the culprets. Nope, not my bunch, they grabbed their bouncy trouble making devices and ran down the hall so they wouldn't get caught. And of course I'm sitting there in the lounge area watching all of this like a comedy show. Part of me was hoping they would get caught and the other part of me was laughing so hard.
Shortly after this show Jeremy got back from class and was ready to hit the town. Our friends hooked us up with tickets to the Museum of Science and the Harry Potter Exhibit~ that was really neat! At the exhibit they had actual pieces from the movies- costumes, props, just tons of stuff. We really loved seeing all of the stuff, but we weren't allowed to take any pictures. Jason tried to sneak a couple of pics on his cell phone but was unsuccessful. Oh well, you'll have to try to see it when it travels to your city.
After the museum it was off to the mall and to one of our favorite restaurants~ Kelly's Roast Beef! Jeremy and Jason had to have the traditional roast beef sandwiches, Collin had the yummy hot dog, and Calvin and I couldn't help ourselves and had the one pound lobsta rolls~ yyyyuuuuuummmmmyyyyyy!
After our long day we headed back to the hotel for a dip in the pool and hot tub. The kids had too much fun and Collin was so upset when we pulled him out of the pool- I believe he's part fish. Showers, pyjamas, brushing of the teeth, and off to bed.
This morning we packed the rest of our bags, called our bellhop (Sunny) to handle the bags, said good bye to the door man (Chris) and the valet (Akmed), and off we were... but we stopped for breakfast at IHOP. The kids would never forgive us if we didn't stop at their favorite IHOP in Saugus, MA. A few hours later we arrived at home to a welcoming pile of snow in the drive way! So of course before any unpacking or relaxing was done, a good family shoveling had to happen first. I think if we didn't come home to a driveway full of snow it just wouldn't feel like home.
