Day Trip to Vancouver, BC

We've had a streak of grey~rainy days this week, so on our somewhat sunny Saturday we decided to go out and do something. I suggested going to a corn maze and pumpkin patch, but that was shot down when Jeremy said, "Let's go to Vancouver!" So in the car we went, drove the 2 hours north across the border, and Welcome to Vancouver! We found a great place called the Children's Market on Granville Island. Very neat place for the kids. Outside of the market was a great playground which we will be visiting next summer as they have a splash area and waterslides. In the market they had stores catered to the kids~ toys, games, etc. Next door to the Children's Market was the Public Market where we had lunch. There was so much to choose from, it was like being at Fanueil Hall in Boston. After listening to the street performers and eating a yummy lunch we walked around the area.

After the Markets we headed to Canada Place to see what was around there. We sure do love the water, and the Sound is just great for watching the water planes take off and land.

And the day would not be complete without bowling and dinner at Swiss Chalet. I've got the bowling pictures, but unfortunately no pictures of the juicy scrumptious chicken at Swiss Chalet~ forgot to take them.
