2nd Run for Dad

I'm thousands of miles away, but my stomach is still all twisted up. Today, my Dad just had his second heart valve replacement surgery. The first one was about 16 years ago, and the valves are suppose to be replaced every 10 years. So he's a little over due. He and his Dr. had an ongoing joke that he was trying to break the record and get published in the medical journals, but he's 1 year off from that. That's okay, we really don't need to be breaking records, just keeping Dad healthy works for us. Dr. David and his team said the surgery went well, it only took 3 hours. My sister said that they saw him in recovery and he looked much better than the last time. Because Dad's in pretty good shape they said these valves should last 20 years, so maybe he'll make the medical journal then. Thanks for the prayers everyone.
